The Best of Both Worlds
...children who are innately orderly and self-sufficient,
confident in their own abilities and able to articulate
and justify their opinions.
...students with a lifelong love of learning.
...young adults who are agents of change.
Traditional public schools tend to focus on a child’s achievements as measured by their grades and test scores. In contrast, our Montessori preschool assesses a child’s overall growth and progress. This whole-child approach lends itself toward greater maturity, academic achievement and social skills development.
One study published in the journal "Science" demonstrated that children attending a Montessori school were able to exhibit positive responses to adverse social situations. The same study also found that children in a Montessori environment had more advanced mathematics and reading skills, and that they were better able to organize, make knowledgeable decisions, adapt to changing circumstances, and plan ahead.
